Oliver’s Camp, located in Tarangire National Park, is a place for those who want to experience an adventurous safari with ample comforts.
Established by Paul Oliver in 1992, Oliver’s Camp reflects the glory days of African safaris. The camp has a low-key simplicity enhanced by discreet creature comforts and truly welcoming hosts. Expert guides give you access to the wilderness beyond. In the main area, deep comfy sofas invite you to relax and watch the restless wilderness beyond. Come nightfall, meals are taken communally in the dining room. Whiskies are poured around the campfire and safari tales told late into the night. Join our knowledgeable guides for a walking safari, soar over the plains in a hot-air balloon or examine leopard tracks along a dusty road. At Oliver’s, you can get to know the landscape from all angles. Our 10-tent camp is relaxed and comfy, imitating the original safari camps. The team at Oliver’s have worked together for years, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Small groups may want to consider staying at Little Oliver's, a 5-tent area of the camp offset about a kilometer away from the main area. Join us for delicious meals and interesting conversation in the main lodge and sundowners under the stars.
Oliver’s is low-key and comfortable, reminiscent of the safari camps of old. Sink into one of the sofas in the lounge and dining area with a good book or keep an eye out for passing zebras and elephants from your deck.
Guest Tent
There are ten luxury tents at Oliver's Camp in total. The tents have the option of being twins or doubles. There are two triple tents available on request. The tents all feature king-sized beds, en-suite bathrooms with a lovely outdoor shower, with views of the surrounding area. Fully plumbed running water and flush loos. Hot water is always available and provided by solar heaters. The tents at Oliver's have thatched roofs and private wooden decks with day beds.
