The best time to go on a Botswana group safari would be the drier months from May to September with the best ones being, June to August. With the vegetation being less lush and dense wildlife sightings are more prolific. The days are also nice and sunny and warm with temperatures around 26ºC / 79ºF on average during the day, but it gets chilly at night. This is also the time when mosquitos are less and the risk of malaria is at it's lowest.
If, however, you are a group of birding enthusiasts you may want to consider the wet summer months from November to March when the Okavango Delta is teeming with birdlife as the migratory birds return from their time in Europe and further afield.
