Poised adjacent to the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Elewana The Manor at Ngorongoro is a grand mansion that exudes old-world charm in north-west Tanzania. The manor is comprised of 18 cottage suites, each with its own private entrance and adjoining private sun terrace. In-room amenities include an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy an array of activities such as lunch on the Ngorongoro Crater Floor, a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park, and horse riding around the 1500-acre coffee estate. Crossing the Rift Valley and climbing the steppe onto the green and rolling hills south of the Ngorongoro Crater, there lies a truly undeniable surprise and one that will be a home-away-from-home. Situated on the Shangri-La Coffee Estate, its the perfect place to stay to visit both the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara. Activities here include wine tasting, spa treatments and a cinema room where you can watch DVDs. All children are welcome and there is a lot for children to do at the lodge.
Every detail of The Manor has been designed with its guests’ comfort in mind. Each of the cottages has been carefully positioned to maximise the views of the adjacent verdant hills but at the same time to maintain the intimacy and privacy of this old-world Manor home.
Manor Suite
Each Manor Cottage Suite has its own private entrance, and adjoining private sun terrace. A double open-fronted log-burning fireplace divides a room interior that mirrors the traditional Cape Dutch architecture. The ensuite bath and shower room possesses a Victorian-style claw-footed bath, as well as twin vanity basins and large ‘rainfall’ shower.
Stable Cottage
An exclusive family unit accommodation, The Stable Cottage has 3 guest bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. An expansive living area incorporates a lounge area, TV room and dining room. Guests can dine privately in the accommodation, and be thoroughly immersed in the enjoyment of those all too rare family holidays.
