Kuro Tarangire

Kuro Tarangire an organic, light-footed camp hidden away in the Tarangire National Park, is probably closer to our hearts' core than any other....a litte gem.

In creating this camp, Nomad Tanzania have sought to keep their footprint as light as possible. Combining the essence of authentic safari with the textures and elements of the Africa that surrounds camp. Providing all those necessary comforts without overdoing it, ensuring the human presence here is in tune with, and not overbearing to, this beautiful place.

One of the things that makes this place is that you can walk straight out of camp and into wild Africa. You also have the freedom to explore in open cars both during the day and under the night sky. Furthermore, the style and location of the camp means that you can sit at peace and observe the natural rhythms of life as it continues undisturbed around you. It couldn't be better, really.

Located on the banks of the Tarangire River, it has 6 light safari tents that blend into the natural surroundings, with ensuite bathroom facilities, bucket showers, flushing eco-toilets and each tent with a veranda. The dinning and lounge areas are open-sided. Activities include walking safaris, game drives and bush dinning. Minimum age of 8 years old can stay at the Kuro but the minimum is 12 years old to go on walking safaris.

Full of heart and soul, and tucked into a grove of secluded riverside bush, it is so much at one with the wild that animals hardly look up as they do their thing around us.

En-suite Room

Six light and stylish safari rooms are complete with comfortable beds, en-suite bucket shower and flushing loo.They rest amongst the trees with views over the African bush and although they are extremely comfortable and beautiful, they never detract from the main event, which is out there.

Family Room

One family unit at Kuro Tarangire is made up of two full size en suite rooms, connected by a canvas corridor that zips closed at night. Ideal for families with younger children to have access to mum and dad after dark, without the need to head outside.
