Situated on the outskirts of the village and surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic mountains, the restored manor house and former perfumery dates back to 1890.

During summer, guests laze at one of the two pools (one heated) with beautiful mountain vistas, visit the boutique wine-farms in Franschhoek, or stroll in the charming town found by the French Huguenots. The in house Monneaux restaurant, voted as one of South Africa's Top Restaurants, has become known for its innovative Modern French Cuisine. A-la-Carte lunches are served on the magnificent new fountain terrace whilst dinner is served in the understated, yet elegant, dining room or enclosed verandah. The wine list emphasizes local wines that can also be enjoyed by the glass in the cozy wine bar or underground cellar.
