Sasaab lodge has been designed in a Moroccan style to embrace the African heat and the expansive surrounding landscape. Situated on the banks of the river with views to Laikipia Plateau & Mount Kenya.
Sasaab is close to the Buffalo Springs and Samburu National Reserves in Kenya’s Northern Frontier District. It’s a place of rich natural diversity with an astounding number of animals from huge majestic elephant to lion, leopard and cheetah, and the "Samburu Special Five" - the Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Gerenuk antelope, and Somali ostrich. Sasaab prides itself on its hospitality and its friendly and attentive staff strive to make each guest's experience unforgettable.

The design complements Sasaab’s open tent design, thatched roofs and private plunge pools, all of which enable guests to stay comfortable and cool.
Sasaab sits at the heart of a community conservancy, rich in raw Samburu culture and traditions, and has been built with wildlife conservation and preservation of the environment foremost in mind. The lodge has been established in association with the local community who benefit directly from your stay. The Luxury and Family Tents at Sasaab all have plunge pools and take in the wonderful river breeze which create a peaceful and invigorating experience.

Each individual cottage is designed to offer majestic views of the landscape and a cooling retreat from the African heat. The airy rooms have four poster beds, enormous open-air bathrooms, and private plunge pools, making for a completely invigorating experience.
Family Tent
Tents 8 and 9 provide the ultimate accommodation in Samburu for families. Spacious double and twin bedrooms each with their own ensuites are connected by an enormous lounge area. This steps out onto a wooden deck spanning the length of both tents with a lovely riverside plunge pool.
