Your journey will start off with four nights at the beautiful St Regis which is set on one of the island's most stunning and sheltered stretches of blond beach on Mauritius' southwest tip on the legendary Le Morne Peninsula - a celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The giant monolith, Le Morne Brabant, provides a dramatic backdrop to this 5-star luxury resort. There are so many fantastic facilities here you can either get super active or get super pampered!
While in this area, you will get the chance to hike up Le Morne Mountain which is steeped in myth and legend and will certainly get your heart pumping. You will also get to visit the largest National Park on the island, Black River Gorges. This is the last true untouched nature reserve left in Mauritius and you will get to enjoy a guided walk through spectacular scenery to encounter endemic, tropical fauna and flora and some of the most spectacular waterfalls on the island. A trip to this area is also not complete without a trip to the Multi Coloured Earth of Chamarel. It is a relatively small area of sand dunes comprising sand of seven distinct colours (approximately red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow) and it utterly mesmerising.

Your second half of your trip will be with a base at the One & Only Saint Geran which is set on a private peninsula with over a mile of white-sand beaches and 60 acres of gardens. This was the first luxury hotel on the island, built in 1975, and has reopened after a nine-month multimillion-dollar transformation. The iconic colonial-style architecture has been blended with understated contemporary architecture inspired by old sugar cane factories, plantation houses and Mauritian-style sugar cane thatch.
While here, you will visit Vallée de Ferney, a forest and wildlife reserve which is one of the last nature sanctuaries on the island. It provides a haven to a great variety of indigenous species like the Mauritian flying fox and Kestrel as well as giant Tortoise. One of your days will be filled by a full day out on the sea - probably the most fun you can have in Mauritius! This boating excursion will give you the chance to enjoy snorkelling, sight-seeing, island hopping and the most delicious lobster lunch! We have also included a traditional Mauritian lunch with Marie Michelle. Not only will you enjoy the most amazing local food, but also learn all about Mauritian family life and culture.
