Born in South Africa, Amy's family moved to Uganda when she was just six months old. Growing up and attending school there, Amy's introduction to safari life began at an early age.

Her parents, immersed in the tourism industry, ensured every opportunity was taken to venture into the bush and explore East Africa during school holidays. Whether searching for wildlife in National Parks, fishing on the Nile River, camping in remote spots, or hiking mountains and both extinct and active volcanoes.

Leaving Africa after school Amy went to university in the UK, between the summer holidays, she was able to go traveling around Europe and parts of Asia, however, always finds her way back to Africa.

Amy has visited Kenya multiple times with her family, spending holiday on the coast and camping in the Maasai Mara and Serengeti. Trekking gorillas’ and chimps in various parts of Uganda, visiting Rwanda, Congo, South Africa, Namibia, Egypt and most recently Zimbabwe.
